Opposition's allegation not true, Tripura’s law and order situation improved since 2018: CM

Agartala, Nov 20: The law and order has improved in Tripura since 2018, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said on Sunday.

Dr. Manik Saha took a thorough review of the law and order in presence of DGP Amitabh Ranjan, district police officials and OCs of various police stations.

In the meeting, the police officers highlighted some issues. In this context, the Chief Minister said that the state government would take steps to solve the issues. He also passed necessary instructions in the review meeting.

According to Dr. Saha, the murder related crimes came down by 15 percent and the number of dowry deaths also came down by 10 percent. Besides, the state registered a 35 percent decline in the atrocities against women. He said, women help desks (24x7) are functional in all police stations of the state.
 
He said, 83 police stations, five GRP units, 35 Police Outposts and 300 police camps are there in the state.
