The proposed three-day nationwide bank strike, which was scheduled to begin today, has been deferred. The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) confirmed this.
 
The decision was taken following an agreement with the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA). In a social media post, AIBEA said the decision was taken after a meeting between the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) last night on issues related to the strike.
