Agartala: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday emphasized that quality education is essential for building a corruption-free society, and true success comes when learning, living, and activities go hand in hand. He was speaking at the Silver Jubilee celebration of Synod Foundation School at Lefunga, marking 25 years of the institution’s commitment to holistic education.
Addressing the gathering, Nath said the silver jubilee is not just a milestone of perseverance but a celebration of values, vision, and dedication. He paid tribute to the school’s founders and visionaries, who envisioned an institution that goes beyond textbooks to nurture character, compassion, moral values, and social responsibility.
The Minister lauded the teachers as the true architects of the school’s success, noting that they serve not only as educators but also as mentors, guides, and role models. “Over the past 25 years, this school has promoted unity, inclusiveness, and social harmony, shaping students to contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.
Speaking to students, Nath urged them to dream big, reminding them that success is not measured by marks alone but by a balance of learning, living, and meaningful action. He compared life to a notebook, with the first and last pages written by God, and the middle pages left to be filled with love, unity, and purposeful effort.
He encouraged students to embrace challenges, never fear failure, and believe in their own potential. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he said, “All power is within you. You can do anything you want.” He also stressed the value of co-curricular activities, which teach teamwork, discipline, leadership, confidence, and time management, while helping students discover hidden talents.
Concluding his address, Nath reminded students to respect teachers, support friends, dream big, and work honestly. “Your future is not determined by luck but by your efforts. A sharp mind and a healthy body together create a strong foundation for success,” he said.
