Renovation in Power: Tripura Power minister seeks Centre's support

Agartala, July 09: Tripura Power Minister Ratanlal Nath joined the North East Power Ministers' Conference held in Guwahati on Tuesday. Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar chaired the conference.

In a significant move to bolster Tripura's power infrastructure, the Power proposed establishment of a state-of-the-art training center.
Nath also urged the Union Power Minister to support a major renovation of the state's power sector. A key proposal included the establishment of a 400 KV sub-station at Suryamaninagar, which is expected to enhance the state's power distribution capabilities.
Highlighting the urgency for advanced infrastructure, Nath emphasized the construction of an 800 MW pump storage facility in the Longtarai Valley sub-division. This project is aimed to significantly improve the state's energy storage and distribution efficiency.
In a social media post, Nath mentioned that the Union Power Minister showed a collaborative spirit towards various developmental projects in Tripura. 
He is optimistic that with comprehensive support from the central government, significant enhancements in the state's power services sector could be achieved.
