Rising temparature, Tripura schools to remain closed from Apr 18 to 23: CM

Agartala, Apr 17: In view of the intense heat wave, the Tripura government announced that all government-run and government-aided schools would remain closed with effect from April 18 to 23.

The update came from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday.

Dr. Saha in a social media post mentioned that the decision was taken as intense heat wave could impact the students’ health.

He also mentioned that the authorities of all the private-run schools were requested to keep their institutions closed during that period—from April 18 to 23.

Meanwhile, there was a strong demand from the people across the state for closure of the schools.
