Satyadev Narayan Arya new Governor of Tripura

Agartala, July 08: President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Satyadev Narayan Arya as the new Governor of Tripura. He has been transferred from Haryana.

The incumbent Governor of Tripura Ramesh Bais has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Jharkhand. He served Tripura as Governor since July 2019.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has greeted Satyadev Narayan Arya on being appointed as Governor of Tripura.

“Extend warm wishes to Shri Satyadev Narayan Arya ji on being appointed as the Governor of #Tripura. With his wise and able guidance, the State Government shall continue to strive for ensuring the development and prosperity of 37 lakh people of the state,” Deb wrote on his official Facebook handle.
According to a press communiqué from Rastrapati Bhavan, the President of India has appointed new Governors for eight states.

Thaawar Chand Gehlot has been appointed as the Governor of Karnataka. While Hari Babu Kambhapati has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram, the President has appointed Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

Rajendran Vishwanath Arlekar has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

PS Sreedharan Pillai, who was serving as the Governor of Mizoram, has been transferred and appointed as the Governor of Goa. Bandaru Dattatreya has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana.

The press communiqué said the new appointments would take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
