SC Collegium recommends Justice Ramachandra Rao as Tripura HC's new Chief Justice

Agartala, May 27: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended transfer of Justice Ramachandra Rao, the incumbent Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, as new Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.
He will replace Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, the incumbent Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. The collegium has recommended transfer of Justice Singh as Chief Justice to Telangana High Court.
According to media reports, the recommendations were part of an extensive judicial reshuffle undertaken by the Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court Collegium has also recommended the names of Justice N V Anjaria, Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court (Parent HC : Gujarat), Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court (Parent HC : Rajasthan) and Justice Atil S Chandurkar, judge of Bombay High Court for elevation to the Supreme Court.
