Agartala, Sept 29: To mark the completion of 25 years of Narendra Modi's public welfare and public service from serving as Chief Minister of Gujarat to serving as Prime Minister the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra will be held in the state on 7 October. 

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a meeting was held today at the Secretariat, chaired by Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, to ensure the success of this programme. 

The meeting, held at Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury's office chamber, was attended among others by MLA Abhishek Debroy and TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik, along with officials from various departments. 

To make the programme a success, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and MLA Abhishek Debroy also held virtual discussions with District Magistrates of the state's 8 districts and issued various instructions regarding the organisation of the event. 

Speaking at the meeting, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the purpose of the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra is to reaffirm a strong commitment to service-oriented work. He emphasised greater participation of college-level students and youth in the programme. 

He announced that once the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra programme concludes before 11 am on 7 October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address will be broadcast live starting at 11 am. 

Не appealed to everyone to cooperate in making the Seva Sankalp Yatra a success. 

At the meeting, MLA Abhishek Debroy also stressed the need for greater participation of youth. 

Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Kiran Gitte, and Director Bimbisar Bhattacharya briefed Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on the arrangements made to ensure the success of the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra programme. 

The Secretary informed that the programme will include a procession centred on the Seva Jyoti, along with a cycle and bike rally.
