Agartala, Jan 25: In recognition of their outstanding service, seven cops from Tripura have been awarded the prestigious President's Medals on the occasion of 76th Republic Day.

Additional Director General of Police, G.S. Rao, has been honored with the President's Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), acknowledging his exemplary contributions to police service.

Six other cops have been awarded the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).
 
The awardees include:

Bijoy Debbarma, Superintendent of Police
Manik Das, Superintendent of Police
Panna Lal Sen, Deputy Superintendent of Police
Ajoy Debbarma, Deputy Superintendent of Police
Shyamal Debbarma, Deputy Superintendent of Police
Niranjan Debbarma, Subedar

Additionally, Roisiama Darlong, a dedicated Home Guard, has also been conferred with the Medal for Meritorious Service.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha extended his heartfelt congratulations to the awardees through a social media post, expressing pride in their contributions to police service.

The recognition reflects the commitment and dedicated efforts of Tripura Police.
