Shah, Nadda to visit poll-bound Tripura in New Year

Agartala, Dec 30: The Tripura unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party’s national president J.P. Nadda, who are scheduled to visit the poll-bound state in the New Year.
The Union Minister is scheduled to take part in two organizational programmes—one at North Tripura and another at South Tripura.
According to party sources, Shah would flag-off ‘Ratha Yatra’, a campaign programme of the ruling BJP ahead of the assembly elections, from both the locations followed by public rallies. The Ratha Yatra from both sides would cover thirty assembly constituencies each.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has formed a three-member committee with Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury as the in-charge to make the events successful. BJP state general secretaries- Tinku Roy and Amit Rakshit have been made co in-charge of the committee.
BJP sources said, party’s national president J.P. Nadda is also scheduled to visit Tripura on January 12, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
