With the initiative of the Youth Affairs and Sports department, a mega musical evening and a drone show will be organized at Swami Vivekananda ground on December 23 next.

Addressing a press conference, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Sushanta Chowdhury announced the upcoming event and sought cooperation from all.

He said, the event would be organized as part of the state-level programme of ‘Khelo Tripura, Sustho Tripura’ campaign. He said the campaign is being carried out across the state for the last one month through various programmes.

The objective of the campaign is to encourage the youth towards sports and cultural practices and to raise awareness against drugs.
 
Speaking to the reporters, Chowdhury said, various sports items would be distributed among 1500 clubs. During the event, some clubs would be given the sports materials.

In the cultural event, artists of Tripura would also take part while IIT students from various parts of the country would take part in the state’s first ever drone show.

As part of the ‘Khelo Tripura, Sustho Tripura’ campaign, a colourful rally would be held in the city starting from Umakanta Academy ground at 2.30 pm on December 23.

Director of Youth Affairs and Sports department Subikash Debbarma was also present in the press conference.
