
Agartala, June 17: Emphasising the role of spiritual consciousness in shaping a compassionate and value-based society, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said that spirituality serves as a guiding force that strengthens peace, moral values, and humanity among people.
The Chief Minister made these remarks after inaugurating the newly constructed Sri Sri Dakshineswari Kali Temple at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district.
Addressing devotees and local residents, he said that faith and belief have the power to illuminate human life, while spiritual awareness helps individuals and society move towards a path of righteousness and harmony.
Dr. Saha observed that religious institutions and places of worship have long played an important role in preserving cultural traditions and fostering ethical values.
He noted that spiritual environments encourage people to cultivate compassion, mutual respect, and a sense of social responsibility.
Highlighting the significance of the newly inaugurated temple, the Chief Minister said it would not only serve as a place of worship but also emerge as a centre for devotion, cultural heritage, and community bonding.
He expressed confidence that the temple would inspire future generations to remain connected to the state's rich spiritual traditions.
The Chief Minister further stated that the growth of spiritual and cultural values contributes to strengthening social harmony and goodwill among different sections of society. He prayed for the blessings of Maa Dakshineswari for the well-being, prosperity, and happiness of all citizens.
Among those present at the inauguration ceremony were Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Dutta, MLA Antara Sarkar Deb, local representatives, devotees, and other distinguished guests.
