State Office KVIC, Agartala Organized People Education Programme at Sri Aurobindo General Degree College

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Agartala, under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) orchestrated a One Day People Education Programme in association with Sri Aurobindo General Degree College on 27th August, 2026 to create awareness among students about entrepreneurship, to develop an entrepreneurial mind set and availing opportunities in employment generation schemes and projects that can be set up in rural area.

 

Ahead of the start, all the present dignitaries lighted the lamp and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi with flowers. Welcome Speech addressed by Dr. Dipankar Chakraborty, Principal, Sri Aurobindo General Degree College followed by the tribute.

State Office, KVIC, Agartala conducted one Seminar, one Essay writing competition and one Debate competition to improve creativity and independent expression of ideas among participants in One Day People’s Education Program.

The Seminar started with a patriotic song by a college student. Invited Guest Speakers were felicitated by Dr. Vineet Chaturvedi, Director, State Office, KVIC,Agartala and Officials of KVIC, Agartala. Guest Speakers  Dr. Satya Deva Mishra, Associate Professor, Dept. of Philosophy, Tripura University delivered speech on Gandhian idealogy  mentioning Gandhi’s vision of self –reliance  encouraged  individuals to become independent, confident and responsible,  Guest Speaker Dr. Savita Mishra, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Philosophy, Ranchi University orated speech on Gandhian Philosophy mentioning the importance of basic education of handicraft at school level with exclusive example of Charkha and Takli and enlighten over inclusion of Gandhian approach of study in NEP 2020 and Guest Speaker Dr. Nirmalya Karmakar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of History , Sri Aurobindo General Degree College(English Medium)  presented a visual presentation on the Gandhian Vision of Freedom: Charkha, Khadi and the  Spirit of Swadeshi to awake young minds to become more independent and inculcate the freedom journey of India.
