Tripura Minister for Youth affairs and Sports and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury on Monday sought Centre’s support to develop the sports infrastructure in Tripura.

He discussed the matter during his courtesy meets with Minister of DoNER and Culture- G. Kisan Reddy and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur in New Delhi on Monday.

The Union Minister for DoNER assured that he would extend all-possible support to Tripura. He also lauded the state’s progress in the cultural field, the ICA minister mentioned in a social media post. According to Chowdhury, the Union Minister had accepted his invitation to visit Tripura in September next.

On the other hand, the Chowdhury discussed on the development of Tripura’s sports infrastructure during his meeting with the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs. The Union Minister assured of extending necessary support to the state. Besides, the Union Minister said he would soon visit Tripura, according to Chowdhury.

Meanwhile, apart from his interactions with the two Union Ministers, Chowdhury also met BJP general secretary (org) B.L. Santosh and discussed organizational matters.
