Synthetic Football Turf to be opened soon in Tripura capital: Sports minister

Agartala, Aug 27: Tripura government has been working with a priority to develop sports infrastructures across the state, said Sports Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
He said, as part of the efforts to improve the sports infrastructures, a Synthetic Football Turf being developed at Umakanta Academy ground in Agartala at the cost of Rs. 5 crore.
After inspection on Saturday, Chowdhury said, the worls-class Synthetic Football Turf is almost nearing completion and it would be inaugurated soon.
During the visit, the Sports minister passed an instruction to the concerned officials for speedy completion of the remaining works.
He was accompanied by Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Director Subikash Debbarma, Joint Director Paimong Mog, Deputy Director Banjit Bagji and other officials.
Meanwhile, the Sports minister also inspected another Synthetic Football Turf which is also nearing completion at Sachindranagar School Ground in Majlishpur constituency.
