Agartala, Aug 29: Techno India University Tripura (TIUT), a private university in the state, has been granted approval to offer Law degrees. The Bar Council of India has authorized the university to provide legal education, enabling it to confer law degrees to students.
Techno India Group has been a prominent name in the education sector for over 40 years. In the past year, TIUT has introduced several new courses in various disciplines to enhance higher education opportunities for students in Tripura.
The university is focused on expanding the range of courses available to students in the state, providing them with more options for higher education.
The university will now offer a three-year LLB course and a five-year BA LLB (Honors) course. This approval was granted during a meeting of the Bar Council of India's Legal Education Committee.
Each course will have a capacity of 60 students. TIUT's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ratan Kumar Saha, announced this significant development in a press statement.
