Agartala, June 18: A group of job aspirants, who have qualified Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in 2022, is still waiting for appointment in Tripura.
In an effort to draw the government's attention, the TET-qualified candidates on Tuesday joined their hands in protest in front of Shiksha Bhavan, Agartala on Tuesday.
The agitators highlighted the shortage of teachers in various schools and sought Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha's intervention to ensure their appointments at the earliest.
According to the agitating candidates, despite passing the examination in 2022 and undergoing various verification processes, they have not yet received any appointment letters. Representatives of around 300 eligible candidates participated in the protest on Tuesday.
The candidates expressed their unhappiness and difficulties due to the delay in the recruitment process. They alleged that officials failed to provide a proper reason for the delay.
