
Agartala, Sept 25: Nalchar RD Block in Sepahijala district on Thursday witnessed a historic occasion today as Tripura Gramin Bank successfully organized a Mega Jansuraksha Campaign at the Community Hall.
The program was attended by Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura, as the Chief Guest, alongside eminent dignitaries including Kishor Barman, Minister of Panchayat, Higher Education & GA (Political), Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank, and Supriya Das Dutta, Zila Sabhadhipati, Sepahijala, among others.
The event began with the National Anthem, followed by felicitation of guests, lamp lighting, and addresses by distinguished dignitaries including the Additional District Magistrate Sepahijala, General Manager RBI, and Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, Satyendra Singh.
The Governor in his address highlighted the significance of financial inclusion and the Government’s commitment towards ensuring social security benefits reach the last mile.
A key highlight of the event was the distribution of cheques worth Rs. 2,00,000 each under PMSBY/PMJJBY to 5 nominees, symbolizing the direct impact of these schemes in securing the future of families who lost their loved ones.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Regional Manager (South), Tripura Gramin Bank, followed by cheque distribution, stall visits, and community interaction.
This Mega Jansuraksha Campaign stood as a testament to Tripura Gramin Bank’s unwavering efforts in promoting social security, financial literacy, and last-mile banking inclusion, strengthening the bond between institutions and the common people.
