Tipra Motha's attack during PM's Mann Ki Baat: Tripura CM takes tough stand

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha took a tough stand after Tipra Motha workers attack BJP Karyakartas during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme under Asharambari Mandal in Khowai district.

At least seven BJP Karyakartas were injured and several vehicles were vandalized in the sudden attack launched by Tipra Motha workers. Three of the injured persons were shifted to GBP Hospital in critical condition.

The Chief Minister, who accompanied by state general secretary Bipin Debbarma and others visited the injured party workers in the hospital, strongly condemned the "violent & undemocratic" attack by TIPRA Motha party workers.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that an instruction was already passed to police for taking strict action against the perpetrators.

The Chief Minister said, he also asked the doctors to ensure best for the injured persons.
He later mentioned in a social media post that the government would not tolerate such attacks in any case.

Speaking to the media, he said, around nine bikes and two vehicles were vandalized during Motha's attack.

"We don't want such kind of politics. Law will take its own course. Politics of muscle power will not be accepted. We will not tolerate such acts in any situation," he mentioned.
