Tripura: Assam Rifles seizes 80,000 Yaba tablets in joint ops

Agartala, Aug 03: Assam Rifles in a successful joint operation with the Customs department seized 80,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 12.8 crore from Hezamara in West Tripura district on Saturday. The Joint Operation also resulted in siezure of one Bolero.

Based on secret information, the operation was launched by Assam Rifles in the general area of Hezamara. 

The team successfully recovered 80,000 Yaba Tablets. The seized contents alonwith the vehicle were handed over to Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.

The operation's success is in continuation of a series successful operations undertaken by Assam Rifles in Tripura, highlighting the force's commitment to fight against illegal smuggling of contraband items and strengthen initiatives to make the society free from Drugs.
