Tripura assembly's recruitment process cancelled, Left wings stage protest

Agartala, June 14: A group of activists from Left youth and student wings-- DYFI, SFI, TSU, and TYF joined their hands together in protest against the cancellation of a recruitment process on Friday evening.

Beginning with a protest rally, the agitators staged a blockade on the main road in Agartala in front of the City Centre, disrupting the normal traffic.

The protest was based on cancellation of recruitment process for Group-C and Group-D posts in the Tripura Legislative Assembly.

DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb, who led the protest, accused the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura of betraying the state's unemployed youth by repeatedly canceling job notifications.

He also alleged that the state government has been prioritizing the candidates from others states in various recruitment in the state. In this context, he criticized the administration's role.

In addition to the assembly posts, Deb highlighted that another recruitment process for filling up the posts of six assistant professors in TIT was cancelled by the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) on Friday.

"This administration is perpetrating a grave injustice on Tripura’s unemployed youth, depriving them of job opportunities while favoring out-of-state candidates," Deb alleged.
