Tripura BJP announces new Presidents for 60 Mandals, sees mixed response

Agartala, Dec 23: Ending all speculations, Tripura Pradesh BJP has announced the list of Mandal presidents. The party has considered mostly young faces to lead the party in the Mandal level.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the BJP state office on Monday.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated the new appointees via social media, expressing his confidence in their ability to strengthen the party’s grassroots leadership.
In West Tripura District, Indrajit Debbarma has been named Mandal President for Simna, Kartik Acharjee for Mohanpur, Shibendra Das for Bamutia, Rajib Saha for Barjala, Rajesh Bhowmik for Khyerpur, and Ranjit Ray Chowdhury for Majlishpur, among others.
In Sepahijala District, Nirmal Debbarma for Takarjala, Kajal Sarkar for Kamalasagar, and Tapan Das for Bishalgarh are some of the notable appointments.
Khowai District saw appointments like Sukesh Debbarma for RC Ghat and Anukul Das. In Gomati District, Amar Jamatia was announced as Mandal President for Bagma, Sani Saha for RK Pur, and Biswajit Marak for Matabari.
In South Tripura District, Joydeb Sarkar for Rajnagar, Sayantan Datta for Belonia, and Debashis Bhowmik for Santirbazar were among the appointees.
The Dhalai district witnessed appointments such as Dhanyamanik Tripura for Raimavalley and Shampa Das for Kamalpur. In Unakoti District, Santosh Dhar for Pabia Chara and Tarun Kumar Das for Fatikroy were named Mandal Presidents. For North Tripura District, notable names included Bimal Purkayastha for Kurti Kadatala and Bikas Nath for Bagbasa.
MP Biplab Kumar Deb, State BJP President and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Ministers Ratan Lal Nath and Sushanta Chowdhury, and former Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik also extended their warm wishes to the new Mandal presidents.
The announcement, however, saw mixed response from the Karyakartas across the state.
