Tripura Board Results: Madhyamik pass rate hits 86.53%, HS at 79.29%

Agartala, April 30: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Wednesday declared the results for the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations for 2025, reflecting a continued upward trend in student performance across the state.

According to TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury, this year’s Madhyamik exam recorded a pass percentage of 86.53%, while 79.29% of students cleared the Higher Secondary examination.

Despite a drop in the number of examinees compared to last year—29,670 students sat for the Madhyamik exam this year, down from 33,739—the pass percentage remained impressive. Of those, 13,861 were male and 15,809 female students.

An encouraging indicator of academic progress, 345 schools registered 100% pass rate in the Madhyamik exam. Notably, no school reported a zero pass rate, underscoring improved academic support and exam readiness.

South Tripura district led the Madhyamik results with a pass rate of 90.69%, followed closely by Gomati (90.42%) and Sepahijala (89.93%).

In the Higher Secondary segment, 21,506 students appeared for the exam—9,920 male and 11,586 female. While the number of schools with a 100% pass rate in Higher Secondary stood at 39, all candidates of three schools have failed to obtain pass mark.

In terms of district-wise performance, Sepahijala district topped the Higher Secondary chart with 87.98%, followed by South Tripura (82.47%) and West Tripura (82.20%).

Dr. Chowdhury praised the collective efforts of students, teachers, and school administrations.
