Tripura cabinet approves recruitment for 112 posts: Sushanta

Agartala, May 2: The Tripura Cabinet on Friday approved the recruitment of a total of 112 posts across various government departments. 

Out of these, 107 posts will be filled through written examinations, while five posts will be filled through promotions, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat press hall after the Cabinet meeting, the Minister said several public welfare decisions were also taken.

He informed that under the Finance Department, the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts will recruit 50 Senior Computer Assistant (Group-C) posts. The recruitment process will be conducted through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).

The Tourism Minister further stated that the General Administration (Printing and Stationery) Department will recruit 43 technical posts. Applicants must have passed Madhyamik (Class 10) and completed an ITI course. The recruitment will be carried out through the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT).

Additionally, the Cabinet approved recruitment in the Election Department, where six LDC (Group-C) posts and four Group-D posts will be filled through JRBT. The Cabinet also approved the promotion of five employees to the post of LDC (Group-C).

The Minister also said that the Home Department (Prisons) will recruit four pharmacists under the Allopathy division.

Highlighting welfare measures, Chowdhury said the Cabinet approved the launch of a new scheme announced in this year’s budget titled “Chief Minister’s Assistance to Unmarried and Dependent Daughter/Son.”

Under the scheme, the state will provide a monthly allowance of Rs 2,000 to one unmarried and dependent daughter or son above 18 years of age of paramilitary personnel from Tripura who were martyred in the line of duty. Even if a family has more than one eligible child, only one beneficiary will be covered.

He further added that the state currently provides a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 to the 12 surviving widows of soldiers from Tripura who were martyred in the Second World War.

The Cabinet has now decided to increase this allowance to Rs 15,000 per month, the Minister said.
