Tripura CM affirms govt's commitment to ensuring basic services to citizens

The Tripura government is committed to providing basic services to its citizens and addressing their concerns, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said on Thursday.

Speaking at a review meeting, Dr. Saha emphasized that the 'CM Helpline Number-1905' acts as a crucial bridge between the people and the government during any emergency.

The review meeting was held on the CM Helpline Number-1905 and other departmental helpline portals at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister highlighted the need for increased public awareness about the utility of these helpline numbers.

He stressed that schools, colleges, and various outreach camps should be utilized to educate the public about how to effectively use these services, ensuring more people can benefit. Dr. Saha advised all departments to work in coordination on this initiative and directed officials to prioritize the swift resolution of issues.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister inquired in detail about the CM Helpline Number-1905 and other departmental helplines, receiving updates on the measures being taken to resolve reported problems.

Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, also present at the meeting, remarked that the 'CM Helpline Number-1905' and other departmental helplines play a vital role during emergencies. He mentioned that the state's CM Helpline Number-1905 has already received appreciation from the Prime Minister's Office for its operations. The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of regular monitoring of all these helplines.

Earlier in the meeting, Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Department of Good Governance, presented a detailed pictorial report on the 'CM Helpline Number-1905'.

Additionally, Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag provided comprehensive information about the five helpline numbers managed by the State Home Department. The meeting also included detailed pictorial reports on ambulance services, the Disaster Management Department's online services, Child Line, and helplines for senior citizens.
