Tripura CM asks PWD to complete works in time, maintain quality

Agartala, Jan 02: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday passed an instruction to the officials of Public Works Department (PWD) to complete all the on-going works within the stipulated time. He also asked the officials concerned to maintain the quality of the works.
The Chief Minister held a marathon meeting with the PWD officials at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala and reviewed the status of various works including construction of buildings, roads and bridges.
Dr. Saha also stressed on modern technology in various construction works. He also acknowledged the role of engineers in the development works.
Besides, the Chief Minister also said that the state government would not compromise with the quality of the development works. If any problem arises in implementing the development works, it has to be solved immediately through discussions, he said in the review meeting.
The achievements, progress and new initiatives related to construction of roads, bridges and buildings under the PWD were discussed in details. The Chief Minister also reviewed the other works of various PWD circles.
Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary to PWD Abhishek Singh, Chief Engineer (Road and Bridge) Rajib Debbarma, Chief Engineer (NH) Amit Das, Chief Engineer (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) Bimal Das and OSD to Chief Minister Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee among other officials were present in the review meeting.
