Tripura CM, BJP president meet central leaders including J.P. Nadda

Agartala, Aug 12: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and BJP state president Dr. Manik Saha met party chief Jagat Prakash Nadda and other central leaders in New Delhi on Thursday.

The Chief Minister and party’s state unit president in their meeting with Nadda reported to have discussed party's organizational matters, roadmap for 2023 polls as well as the alliance prospects.

The sudden Delhi visit of the duo appeared to be significant following the recent political activities of Trinamool Congress in Tripura.

The Chief Minister in a tweet said that he along with the state BJP chief had discussions with party chief J.P. Nadda, general secretary (organization) B.L. Santosh and party’s Tripura observer Vinod Sonkar.

They, according to the tweet, discussed various organizational as well as administrative matters.

In a separate tweet, Deb also shared the pictures of his meeting with BJP national secretary Sunil Deodhar in New Delhi on Thursday. Deb also recalled the memories of his efforts with Deodhar in Tripura to end the Communist rule.

“Delighted to meet old friend and @BJP4India National Secretary Shri @Sunil_Deodhar ji. We go back a long way and I fondly remember our days working together to strengthen the party,” Deb tweeted.

Deodhar also tweeted about the meeting and recalled old memories of how they fought together against the cruel CPIM’s Regime in Tripura.

BJP state president Dr. Manik Saha and party’s state general secretary Tinku Roy were also present during the courtesy meet at Deodhar’s Delhi residence.
