New Delhi, Feb 15: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi on Saturday.

A key highlight of the meeting was the Chief Minister's invitation to PM Modi to inaugurate the newly redeveloped Mata Tripureswari Temple premises at Udaipur.

The historic temple, deeply rooted in Tripura’s cultural and spiritual identity, has undergone significant renovations, and the CM emphasized that PM Modi’s presence would add to its importance on a national scale.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to commend PM Modi on recent national and international achievements, including India’s budget initiatives, his successful diplomatic engagements in France and the USA, and the BJP’s performance in the Delhi Assembly elections.

Beyond cultural and diplomatic discussions, the Chief Minister highlighted pressing developmental concerns for Tripura, urging greater central support in several key areas:

✅ Agricultural Growth & Farmer Welfare – Expanding state-level initiatives to enhance productivity and sustainability in agriculture.

✅ Employment Generation – Creating new job opportunities to support youth employment and economic progress.

✅ Establishment of Premier Institutes – Advocating for AIIMS, IIT, and IIM campuses in Tripura to strengthen the state's education and research ecosystem.

✅ Major Infrastructure Development – Seeking central approval for a National Highway project connecting Kamalpur to Santirbazar via Ambassa, Ganda Twisa, and Amarpur, improving road connectivity across the state.

The meeting marked a crucial step in reinforcing cooperation between the state and central governments. 

The Chief Minister's proactive engagement underscores Tripura’s ambitious vision for progress, with PM Modi’s support expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating development initiatives.
