Agartala, May 9: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari after he took oath as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal, describing the development as the beginning of a “new dawn of peace and Sonar Bangla.”
Dr. Saha and several other leaders from Tripura joined the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP government at Brigade Parade ground, Kolkata amid vibrant atmosphere.
In a congratulatory message, Dr. Saha said the victory marked the culmination of years of struggle and sacrifice by BJP workers in West Bengal.
“Heartiest congratulations to Shri Suvendu Adhikari Ji on taking oath as the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal. Today, the tears and sacrifices of countless BJP West Bengal Karyakartas have found their voice. This isn’t just a win; it’s the culmination of a long, selfless struggle against all odds to protect the soul of Bengal,” the Tripura Chief Minister said.
He further stated that under the leadership and blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the dream of a “Double Engine Government” in Bengal had turned into a reality.
“We move forwa
rd with the strength of the Center and the heartbeat of Bengal working as one. A new dawn of peace and ‘Sonar Bangla’ has finally arrived,” Dr. Saha remarked.
The Chief Minister also linked the political change in Bengal with the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, saying the occasion symbolized a new beginning for the state.
Referring to a Bengali message shared in the statement, Dr. Saha said the ideals and vision associated with Bengal’s cultural and nationalist legacy had finally been realised.
“The lines of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore have found true meaning today in his birthplace on his birth anniversary. The long struggle initiated by Bharat Kesari Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee against injustice and unrighteousness has finally been fulfilled after many years,” the translated message read.
Dr. Saha conveyed his best wishes to the new Bengal Chief Minister and expressed confidence that the state would witness a new phase of development and stability under the BJP-led government.
