Tripura CM donates one month's salary to CMRF for flood relief

Agartala, Aug 26: In a generous move to support the ongoing relief efforts for flood-affected people across Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday contributed his one-month salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
This gesture comes as the state battles the aftermath of severe flooding, with the Chief Minister urging everyone to step forward and contribute to the cause.
On Monday, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque to Additional Secretary Dr Samit Roy Chowdhury.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister on Monday announced that Rs 2 crore from Chief Minister’s Relief fund will also be utilised for providing relief to people affected by the floods.
In the meantime, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Chief Ministers- Yogi Adityanath and Dr. Mohan Yadav announced monetary assistance for flood-affected Tripura.
The Tripura Dr. Saha informed that the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh- Dr. Mohan Yadav has donated Rs 20 crore for the relief of flood victims in Tripura, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has contributed Rs 10 crore.
In addition to them, various organizations, social clubs, doctors, and individuals have also extended their support by donating for flood relief efforts. Suraksha Medical Agency donated Rs 50,000, Aiktan Yuba Sangstha, Shantipara, contributed Rs 51,000, Little Star Musical Band donated Rs 5,000, and Transcend Dental Laboratory contributed Rs 1,00,000.
Furthermore, MLA Sushanta Deb, Pratyaya Samajik Sangstha, and the Agartala Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society have also made their contributions to the ongoing relief efforts.
Established organizations and respected citizens of the state have also come forward in support of the flood relief efforts.
Prattay Samajik Sanstha donated Rs 5,000, Tripura Football Association donated Rs 50,000, SSR Cinemas Private Limited-Rupasi Cinemas Rs 2,00,000, Hotel Sonar Tari Rs 3,00,000, Shivjyoti Chakraborty donated Rs 10,000, Ramakrishna Club donated Rs 10,000 and Tripura Jadav Mahasabha has donated Rs 51, 000.
