Tripura CM joins World Heritage session in New Delhi

Agartala, July 21: Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha joined the 46th Session of the World Heritage Committee in New Delhi on Sunday, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Prime Minister inaugurated the 46th Session of the World Heritage Committee on July 21, 2024, at 7 PM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
This is for the first time that India is hosting the World Heritage Committee Meeting from July 21 to 31.
The Chief Minister inspected the stalls opened by Tripura Tourism department showcasing important tourist destinations of the state.
The World Heritage Committee meets once a year and is responsible for managing all matters pertaining to World Heritage and deciding on sites to be inscribed on the World Heritage list.
Union Minister for External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Director General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay, and Union MoS (I/C) for Statistics and Program Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh were also present.
