Tripura CM launches state-level ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign

Agartala, Aug 13: Inspired by the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura is taking part in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in the spirit of patriotism.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated the state-level campaign in a programme at Umakanta Academy ground.
Speaking at the event, he said, the government is committed to transform Tripura into a model state through development and improving the quality of life for the people.
He said, various developmental programmes are being implemented to strengthen the state's infrastructure and living standards. 
The state-level event of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign was organized by the Department of School Education.
The Chief Minister said inaugurated the event by releasing tricolor balloons and presenting the national flag to Bharat Mata. 
He highlighted that following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, Tripura participated in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign for the first time in 2022, joining the nationwide effort to honor those who dedicated their lives to the country's freedom struggle. This year, as part of Independence Day celebrations, various initiatives under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign have been planned.
During his speech, Chief Minister mentioned that a tricolor rally was held this morning, involving school students, social organizations, and distinguished individuals. The campaign is being held in different districts and sub-divisions of the state with various activities promoting the national flag.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to advancing the state with the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas." 
He stressed the government's efforts to strengthen unity and relationships among various communities. He praised the state’s progress in health, education, and tourism. He said, Tripura has received commendations from recent NITI Aayog meeting and Chief Ministers' conference.
The Chief Minister also mentioned, the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, aiming to establish Tripura as a drug-free state. He called on students and everyone to support the government’s efforts in this direction.
Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Special Secretary to the Department of Education, delivered the welcome speech. NC Sharma, Director to Secondary Education, was also present. 
The Chief Minister clicked selfies with the participating students and witnessed the band performance by students of St. Xavier's English Medium School, Bishramganj during the event.
The Chief Minister praised outstanding band performance. He said, the band secured 3rd place in a national-level competition and it’s a testament to their talent and patriotism.
