Tripura CM meets Home Minister Amit Shah, discusses flood impact

Agartala, Sept 04: As part of his visit to Delhi on Wednesday, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

In their meeting, the Chief Minister presented a comprehensive report detailing the damage caused by floods across various regions of the State and the on-going relief efforts.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Union Home Minister for extending all necessary support to the people of Tripura during this challenging time.

Meanwhile, the recent floods have resulted in losses amounting to approximately Rs. 15,000 crore in Tripura. Relief efforts are still going on in some areas. The natural calamity has claimed nearly 33 lives.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, the administration is making every effort to assist those affected by the floods.

Besides, a good number of individuals and organisations came together to provide aid to the flood victims as well as contributing to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
