Agartala, Apr 24: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday conducted a surprise visit to a Primary Health Centre at Gandhigram, in the outskirt of Agartala.

Dr. Saha interacted directly with medical staff and patients, reviewed the infrastructure, and took stock of essential supplies and service delivery mechanisms.

Along with strengthening major hospitals, the state government is equally committed to empowering Primary Health Centres with better infrastructure and service to ensure accessible, affordable healthcare in rural areas, the Chief Minister wrote on social media.

Dr. Saha then turned his attention to the urban development; he visited the Agartala Smart City Limited office and Jal Board office at UD Bhavan, Agartala. 

During these visits, the Chief Minister closely monitored project progress and passed necessary instructions to the officials.
