Tripura CM pays surprise visit to rural hospital

Agartala, Sept 26: As part of his continuous efforts to strengthen the rural healthcare, Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha paid a surprise visit to Longtarai Valley sub-divisional hospital in Dhalai district on Tuesday.

During inspection, the Chief Minister interacted with the medical officer on duty and inquired about the health services and existing infrastructure in the hospital.

The Chief Minister’s unwavering commitment to strengthen the healthcare services in rural Tripura is evidently bringing a positive change benefitting the people to a large extent. He affirmed that all necessary steps would be taken to address existing concerns and improve the quality of healthcare.

As part of his Dhalai district tour, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the new building of Chailengta English Medium Higher Secondary School in Dhalai district. 

The new building of the Chailengta School has been constructed at an expenditure of Rs. 2.80 crore. Local MLA Sambhulal Chakma and other dignitaries were present in the inaugural ceremony. 

Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said his government is committed to develop the school infrastructure to strengthen the education system so that the students can get quality education.

Dr. Saha also attended two organizational programmes in Dhalai district during his day-long tour. He travelled from Agartala to Manu in a train.
