Tripura CM reiterates commitment to maintain transparency in providing govt jobs

Agartala, April 30: The present Tripura government is providing government jobs in a transparent manner and it’s a commitment, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said on Wednesday.

He said, the present government’s transparent recruitment policy is bringing smiles to the face of the meritorious and deserving candidates. 

Addressing an event in Agartala, the Chief Minister said, the present state government has provided 17,554 jobs till March 2025 while 3,554 jobs have been given in 2025 alone.

As part of this continuous process, Dr. Saha on Wednesday distributed offers for 228 Under Graduate and Graduate Teachers at the Nazrul Kalakshetra in Agartala.

Dr. Saha, who holds the Education portfolio, also hinted that offers for more government jobs would be given in the next few days. 

“The government is doing everything in a systematic way. It is not the aim of this government to deprive anyone,’ he said. 

He said, out of 228 teachers, who received the offer letters on Wednesday, 66 are UGTs and 162 are GTs. He congratulated all the new appointees.

An official press release said, since 2018, as many as 7604 posts of Teaching & Non-Teaching have been filled up by the School Education department. Out of these, 4929 posts have been filled up by the Directorate of Elementary Education and 2675 posts have been filled up by the Directorate of Secondary Education.

During the same period, under the Directorate of Elementary Education a total of 4884 appointments have been made for the post of UGTs and GTs. Besides, the Directorate of Secondary Education has also recruited 2,003 teachers. A total of 6,887 teachers have been recruited since 2018.

Among notable figures, the offer distribution event was attended by Chief Whip of the Legislative Assembly Kalyani Saha Roy, Special Secretary of the Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Director N.C. Sharma and other officials.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also launched ‘My School, My Pride’ digital initiative in the event.
