Tripura CM reviews power services, Smart City projects, NH status

Agartala, Aug 08: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday reviewed the progress of key infrastructure and public utility works in the state, with electricity supply, Agartala Smart City projects and road maintenance figuring prominently in the discussions.

The meeting was attended by Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha and senior officials of the state government and Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL).

The Chief Minister took stock of the prevailing issues concerning the state's power sector and stressed the need to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply. Officials discussed the challenges affecting power services and measures required to improve the overall system.

The meeting also reviewed the status of projects being executed under the Agartala Smart City initiative. The progress of ongoing works and issues requiring administrative intervention were discussed.

Apart from urban infrastructure, the meeting examined the condition and maintenance of national highways and roads being handled by the Public Works Department (PWD) across Tripura.

The discussions centred on expediting ongoing projects, resolving implementation-related bottlenecks and strengthening infrastructure and essential services for residents across the state.
