Tripura CM reviews preparations for J.P Nadda’s Khumulwng rally

Agartala, Aug 27: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday reviewed the preparations at Khumulwng ground where BJP chief J.P. Nadda will address a public rally on August 29.
Dr. Saha accompanied by Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Varma and senior party leaders including state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Minster Sushanta Chowdhury, MP Rebati Tripura and BJP Tripura observer Vinod Sonkar inspected the venue.
The Chief Minister also held interactions with the Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and other officials.
The BJP national president will arrive at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport at 10.45 am on Sunday on a two-day visit. The Chief Minister along with former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and other party leaders will receive the party president at airport.
On the first Day, the BJP chief is scheduled to hold separate meetings with BJP state office bearers and Morcha presidents, Janajati MLAs and MDCs, BJP ministers and MLAs, IPFT MLAs and state BJP’s core committee.
He will address the public rally at Khumulwng on the next day- Monday. The rally is assumed to be significant in view of Tipra Motha’s politics and upcoming Village Council elections in the state. The Khumulwng ground is expected to witness a massive crowd during Nadda’s rally.
On the other hand, the BJP karyakartas are all set to offer a warm reception to the party president who is arriving in the state on Sunday. Soon after arriving in the Airport, Nadda will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister along with the Tripura BJP president and others inspected the preparations at the State Guest House late on Saturday night.
