Agartala, June 23: In a gesture of goodwill and strengthening regional ties, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, has gifted 500 kilograms of Queen Pineapple to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina on Sunday. 

This symbolic gesture underscores the commitment of both leaders to enhance bilateral relations and promote regional cooperation.

The Queen Pineapple, renowned for its exquisite taste and high nutritional value, is a pride of Tripura and a testament to the state’s rich agricultural heritage. 

The queen pineapple has also received a geographical indication (GI) tag.
100 boxes containing six queen pineapples in each boxes were sent to the Bangladesh PM on behalf of the Chief Minister. Each queen pineapple weighs approximately 750 grams, totaling around 500 kilograms.
