Agartala, Mar 25: In a heart-warming gesture, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha paused his convoy to purchase vegetables at Jeolcherra in Atharomura hill range while returning from Dhalai district after attending the BJP's massive nomination rally on Wednesday.

During the brief stop, the Chief Minister interacted with Janajati women who were selling fresh vegetables along the roadside.

He spent time speaking with them about their livelihoods and appreciated their efforts in sustaining local markets through hard work.

Reinforcing the vision of Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, Dr. Saha purchased fresh produce directly from the vendors, encouraging support for locally grown products.

The spontaneous interaction brought smiles to the faces of the women vendors.

Notably, the interaction is also being seen as a strategic grassroots outreach effort by the Chief Minister to strengthen its connect with Janajati communities ahead of the ensuing elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
