Agartala, Feb 13: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha along with his wife today visited Maha Kumbh and took a holy dip in the sacred waters of Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj.
The Chief Minister shared the photos and a video from his trip to Maha Kumbh on social media and mentioned that he had prayed to Maa Ganga for the overall prosperity of the state.
"The holy dip in Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj, is a transcendent experience that rejuvenates the spiritual spirit. Fortunate to take a holy dip during Maha Kumbh Mela in this sacred confluence. Prayed for well-being of the people and overall prosperity of Tripura. The Triveni Sangam, where the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet, is a potent symbol of faith, purification, and the eternal flow of life. Jay Maa Ganga! #MahaKumbh2025", the Chief Minister wrote on social media.
Later, speaking to the reporters, Dr. Saha said that it had been his long-time wish to visit the Maha Kumbh.
He said, "I had been waiting for this moment for a long time, as my visit was postponed three times due to the crowd. Around 50 crore pilgrims have come here from all over the country, and pilgrims from foreign countries have also arrived. After the holy dip, I felt a deep sense of peace. I especially prayed for the people of Tripura and for making our state ‘Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura'."
The Chief Minister said that the Maha Kumbh Mela reflects the true spirit of unity in diversity.
Dr. Saha also congratulated Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, for the well-organized arrangements at the Maha Kumbh.
