Tripura gears up to welcome Amit Shah, CM reviews preparations in North, South

Agartala, Jan 02: The Tripura unit of Bharatiya Janata Party geared up its preparations in view of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit on January 5 next.

While the preparations are going on in full swing, the Chief Minister paid visits to North and South Tripura districts on Monday and inspected the venues for public rallies followed by which the Union Minister will flag-off Ratha Yatra (Jan Viswas Yatra).

Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury (in-charge of the Ratha Yatra) and MLA Sankar Roy accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit to Melar Math in South Tripura.

According to party sources, both the rallies of the Union Home Minister will draw massive gatherings.

Meanwhile, Tripura will go to assembly elections in the last part of February this year. The visit of the Union Home Minister, who is considered to be Chanakya of Indian politics, ahead of the polls is significant.
