Tripura gets 3 new Government Degree Colleges: CM

Agartala, May 17: In a major step towards strengthening the higher education landscape in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced establishment of three new Government Degree Colleges in the state. 

Dr Saha, who holds Education portfolio, said that the three colleges would come up at Ambassa in Dhalai district, and Kakraban and Karbook in Gomati district, starting from the academic session 2025-26.

The Chief Minister said the decision reflects the State Government’s commitment to ensuring enhanced access to higher education, especially in remote and underserved areas.

“This decision will largely benefit the students of these regions in providing access to higher studies and promoting quality education,” Dr. Saha said mentioned in a social media post.
