Tripura Governor encourages farmers to adopt advanced techniques

Agartala, Sept 16: Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Monday urged the state's farmers to adopt advanced techniques to further increase productivity.

Addressing an event in Agartala, the Governor praised the state’s remarkable success in creating a favorable environment for farming.

He highlighted this achievement during the launch of a book authored by Indrajit Chakraborty at the Agartala Press Club.

The Governor emphasized the importance of focusing on societal development and improving the conditions of farmers. 

He noted that several initiatives have been undertaken to address the challenges faced by farmers in Tripura. These projects aim to boost agricultural production by utilizing modern technology.

He expressed hope that the book would help farmers better understand which crops thrive in different regions of Tripura, enabling them to make informed decisions about cultivation.

Dr. B.U. Choudhury, head of ICAR Research Complex, also spoke at the event, offering insights into agricultural advancements. The event was presided over by Jayanta Bhattacharya, President of the Agartala Press Club.
