Agartala, July 09: Amid tight security, Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Tuesday visited the state’s first Border Haat functioning along Indo-Bangla border in Sabroom.

During the visit, the Governor had interactions with the vendors, including fish and dry fish sellers.

As the Governor arrived at Sabroom, the 109th-Bn BSF offered a "Guard of Honour" and formally welcomed him. 

Later speaking to the media, the Governor expressed his satisfaction over the Border Haat management. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relationships between the people of both countries.

Meanwhile, the state’s first Border Haat at Srinagar, Sabroom was inaugurated on January 13, 2015 to promote trade and strengthen cross-border ties.
