Tripura govt committed to fulfil basic needs of people: CM

Agartala, Jan 17: The present state government in Tripura is committed to deliver the benefits of various schemes up to the last mile of the society, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
After inaugurating two-day West Tripura district-level Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Proti Ghore Sushasan 2.0 Mela at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said, former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee had a dream of making the country free of corruption. In this direction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15 last, on the occasion of Janjatiya Gourav Diwas.
He said, the main objective of Sushasan (Good Governance) is to improve the quality of lifestyle of the people by properly implementing various plans.
Dr. Saha said, his government has been working in a transparent manner in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people have also been receiving the benefits.
Minister for Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury, Mayor Dipak Majumder, MLA Ratan Chakraborty, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and other officials were present in the inaugural ceremony.
After the ceremony, the Chief Minister along with other dignitaries inspected all 52 stalls opened at the venue.
