Tripura govt mulls recruitment, infrastructure boost in Education

Agartala, April 22: In a significant push toward enhancing the Tripura’s educational landscape, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced that the government will soon initiate the recruitment process for vacant teaching and non-teaching posts.
Speaking at a public event at Amtali Higher Secondary School, Dr. Saha reaffirmed his government’s dedication to delivering quality education. He revealed that infrastructure development is already underway for 123 schools, aimed at creating a more conducive learning environment.
The event also marked the inauguration of new school buildings at six schools—Henry Derozio Academy, Gandhigram H.S. School, Taltala H.S. School, Indranagar High School, Nandan Nagar H.S. School, and Amtali H.S. School—demonstrating the government's hands-on approach to educational reform.
To promote health and safety among students, especially girls, the state has installed sanitary napkin vending machines in 455 schools at a cost of over Rs. 1.31 crore. In a further step toward empowerment, more than 1.42 lakh girl students from 2,058 schools have received self-defence training under the Rani Laxmibai Self Defense Training Program, the Chief Minister noted.
Dr. Saha also touched on environmental awareness, urging everyone to protect the Earth by preserving its flora and fauna.
The gathering was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Ramprasad Paul, Special Secretary to the Education Department Raval Hamendra Kumar, and Director of Secondary Education NC Sharma.
