Tripura Govt Releases Additional Rs.10 Cr for Flood Relief

Agartala, Sept 5: The state government has sanctioned another ₹10 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to support flood-hit families.

The amount, released to the Revenue Department, will be used to provide financial assistance and rehabilitation measures for those affected by last year’s devastating mid-August floods.

With this, the total relief released from the CMRF has now reached ₹35 crore in four phases, the Chief Minister’s Office confirmed.

The floods, one of the worst in recent memory, had left 24 people dead, damaged property worth over ₹15,000 crore, and affected nearly 17 lakh residents across the state.
