Tripura govt to open Ayurvedic and Homeopathy Medical Colleges soon: CM

Agartala, May 27: The Tripura government is planning to establish Ayurvedic and Homeopathy Medical Colleges in the state, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced on Monday.

Speaking to the media after inspecting the State Ayurvedic Hospital in Agartala, the Chief Minister Saha revealed plans to introduce these new medical colleges in the new building.

“A letter has been sent to the Centre by the Health Secretary regarding this matter. Initially, we will start with the Ayurvedic Medical College, followed by the Homeopathy Medical College. There are some issues that need to be addressed, and I have directed that these matters be resolved as soon as possible. Additionally, we are planning to expand the infrastructure of this building,” Dr. Saha stated.

The Chief Minister indicated that the Ayurvedic Medical College would be operational soon in the city.

Accompanied by Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, the Chief Minister interacted with the patients and hospital staff to know about the current facilities and services.

Dr. Saha, who had earlier visited the old building of the hospital, noted that a significant number of patients visit the State Ayurvedic Hospital daily. He assured that initiatives are being taken to ensure that the people receive proper healthcare services.
