Tripura govt to recruit 125 physical education teachers, 53 fishery officers

Agartala, Nov 19: The Tripura cabinet has approved recruitment under various departments, Minister for Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury said.
Briefing the media about the cabinet decisions, he said, under the School Education department, 125 physical education teachers would be recruited. Additionally, the Youth Affairs and Sports department would recruit 75 junior physical instructors, he said.
The other important cabinet decisions included recruitment of 53 Fisheries Officers under the Fisheries department, he said.
In another important decision, the state government approved a hike in dress allowance and ration money for the police and TSR personnel.
Addressing a press conference at the secretariat, Chowdhury said, the annual dress allowance for state police personnel has been increased from Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 9,500. Additionally, their monthly ration money has been doubled from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000. For TSR personnel, the annual dress allowance has been hiked from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000, while their monthly ration money has also been increased to Rs. 2,000.
Speaking to reporters, he said, the revised dress allowance and ration money for TSR personnel were initially announced before Diwali and the cabinet now formally approved the decision. Currently, the state employs 21,794 police and TSR personnel.
